HOW TO PREVENT INGROWN HAIRS AFTER WAXING EYEBROWS:  TREATMENTS

How to prevent ingrown hairs after waxing eyebrows is to never shave your eyebrows. Regularly use specialized tweezers to shape your brows. A hair is more likely to become ingrown if left to grow too long, leave the hair grow ¼ to ½ inch long before waxing or plucking. If the hair is too short it will be difficult to remove. When an ingrown hair does occur, place a hot washrag over the affected area and gently work the hair loose with tweezers. A stubborn hair may require a sterilized needle.

When you experience an ingrown hair, heat the bump to soften the area and open the pores. Apply a warm cloth over your interested eyebrow for few minutes to open the pores whit a soft bristled toothbrush for some minutes. Do it morning and evening massage the ingrown hair. In this way the toothbrush exfoliates the skin and stimulates the follicle, pushing the ingrown hair towards the surface. When  it emerges from the skin you can pull it out with tweezer and this help to prevent ingrown hairs after waxing eyebrows.

If you can not reach the hair in this way sterilize a sewing needle to protect the inflamed follicle form infected or further irritation. Than insert it through the loop of ingrown hair on the surface of your skin and gently pull the loop until the hair emerges from the skin and with tweezer gently take it out.

With some cotton soaked in alcohol wipe the zone where you inserted the needle to remove bacterias.

Be gentle, if you pull vigorously you can cause damages even with open pores, with tweezer pull the hair in one vigorous movement that will keep the hair intact as you pull it out.

Frequent eyebrow tweezing increases the risk of ingrown eyebrow hair specially if you don t remove the entire root.

A couple of day before waxing or plucking apply an alpha-hydroxy body lotion on the skin area and rub the lotion again for three days after removing hair. This lotion loosens dead skin so hair is less likely to grow inward.

Exfoliating opens the pores up, so it lowers the chances of ingrown hairs. Exfoliate on a daily basis and before plucking or waxing. Bath or shower in warm water before waxing or tweezering soften hair and makes it easier to get it pulled out.

To minimize the irritation pluck hair always in the growth direction and if you waxing do it against the grain of your hair’s growth. If you pull the hair in the wrong way you have more chances to have ingrown hairs.
